UAE’s first astronaut, Hazza Al Mansouri is back on Earth but we cannot get over the photos he shared on his Twitter about the unique view of Earth from space. So beautiful!
We are about to undock from the ISS. Another challenge is wandering around. With fear and pride, I am returning with Zayed’s ambition achieved. We are not done yet, and we will never be. To bring back the golden era of arab astronauts. pic.twitter.com/9aYUFNyi0H

On his eight-day mission at the International Space Station, the most striking was the one where you could see UAE in the night. The clear skies over the UAE and surrounding nations make it easy to see the desert land mass of the Middle East and the blue waters of the Arabian Gulf, with just a few areas of cloud covering the mountainous regions. While the islands of Abu Dhabi are clearly visible, Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah can be spotted with a little help from the zoom button. Take a look:
From the happiest astronaut to the happiest nation…this is history, this is the UAE from space. pic.twitter.com/Ha7pTpJpOA

Also, Al Mansouri went one step further and posted an image of his hometown, Liwa on his Twitter. The clusters of light connected by thin golden lines, illuminating the land, makes it easier to identify his hometown.

Taking to his official social media account, he shared an image of the Islamic religious site Mecca and Northern Africa as well. Check out and admire the view from space:

The historic mission was undertaken by Hazzaa which was also a milestone for the UAE. He was at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space and conducted experiments on the Soyuz MS-15 rocket.
UAE’s first astronaut touched down at Zhezkazgan in Kazakhstan and is back safely.
