In the lockdown 4.0, Government has provided huge relaxations to the citizens and allowed the opening of Sports Complexes and Stadia for athletes to get back to their practice.
Now the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has released a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that has to be followed by the athletes and federations to resume the training.
In the eight-point detailed SOP, which has given paramount importance to the health of all the staffs and athletes and has strictly emphasized the control of the spread of COVID-19 has the following key highlights:
- Implementation of necessary precautionary measures at the centre.
- Proper education and awareness session should be conducted about COVID-19 for all the athletes and training centres before the resumption of training.
- There should be a graded resumption of training based on the categorization of sports.
- The SOP to be followed by all the centres, their staffs and the athletes.
- The SOP also has laid out clear Dos and Don’ts for all the staffs, athletes and coaches that have to be followed without any compromise.
- The resumption of sports activities should be in compliance with the local authorities.
Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju shared the details and the SOP file link on his social media page by writing, “Khelo India Phir Se. All stadia and sports complexes are open again.
