As the nationwide lockdown is still continuing, the Government is trying to establish normalcy by restoring various activities across the country.
In the same spirit, Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Kiren Rijiju organised special video conferencing with the elite weight-lifters of the nation housed in the National Center of Excellence, Patiala of Sports Authority of India to get the feedback of their training sessions and further requirements.

In order to resume their training, Kiren Rijiju will also have a conference meeting with the members of Athletics at National Institute of Sports, Patiala today to understand the training requirements and bring the athletes back on track amidst COVID-19.

Apart from this, PM Modi had an elaborate virtual meeting with all the Chief Ministers yesterday from 3 PM to 9.30 PM regarding the formulation of proper lockdown exit policy and today he will be addressing the nation at 8 PM for the third time in the COVID-19 pandemic times.
