Want to have a look at how COVID-19 pandemic following lockdown has hit the world and how people are spending time during these days? Well, while most of us are just waiting for it to get over, some creative minds collaborated together to bring a mini-series of short films, ‘Homemade’ which is shot with zero production cost and mostly indoors, capturing the daily life and prayers of different people. The show has some real fun-filled episodes along with heartwarming anthologies.
2. Khayali Pulao:
‘Khayali Pulao’ which in quotidian terms means daydreaming is the title of YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli’s new venture. The short film is all about the determination of a school girl from the Majri village of Haryana who wants to go into sports. Yashpal Sharma as a sports teacher looks daunting and Prajakta’s perplexed acting breathes life into the short film. The movie is light-hearted which juggles several social topics together.
3. When they See Us:
With ‘Black Lives Matter’ igniting the world grazing the topic of equal rights, it’s high time to watch the limited series ‘When They See Us’ on Netflix. The mini-series is based on the true story of a criminal case that occurred in the year 1989, where five teenagers of colour were convicted of rape case which they did not even commit. The series follows the life of the teenagers and their families and how the false accusation jeopardised their way of living.
