PUBG is all set to launch its PUBG Lite version for desktop in India, tomorrow. It will be a low-end version of the PUBG game, which was officially released last year. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle game inspired by the 2000 Japanese film ‘Battle Royale’.
PUBG is currently available on mobile platform and high-end PCs in India. Its popularity is increasing every day and has become a daily conversation starter among the youth. PUBG Lite will have Hindi language as an option and does not require a dedicated Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), for its smooth run.
The Lite version has already launched in Thailand, Turkey and Brazil, and has been a huge success. Pre-registration link was made available in India about a month ago, which soon got 200k registrations. The official release date of PUBG Lite in India, was announced on the official page of PUBG.
‘We are very pleased to be able to introduce PUBG Lite to users all over the world. We have a lot of passionate PUBG players in South Asia, so it represents an important area of focus for us,’ said Brady Choi, VP and Head of PUBG Lite, at PUBG Corporation. ‘As we continue to expand into new territories, we will do our best to provide a stable and fun service by communicating closely with our players.’
In addition to India, PUBG Lite will also be launched in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, on the same day.
