On today’s date, the historic event, Dandi March led by Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, had started and as we are celebrating the 91 anniversary of this iconic day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off a freedom march (Padyatra) from Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad.
The Padyatra undertaken by 81 marchers will cover a distance of 387kms ending at Dandi in Navsari, Gujarat by 6 April. The 25 days long march will be joined by more appreciators in between and the first lap of 75 kms is being led by Union Minister Prahalad Singh Patel.

Moreover, ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ has also been inaugurated where the PM will be launching various activities and digital initiatives commemorating the 75 years of Indian Independence this 15 August.
