As we are inching close to one of the most ambitious space mission of India, Gaganyaan, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists have notched up their preparation game to make this mission a successful one.
Gaganyaan is the first human spaceflight programme of India which is slated for the year 2022 but before sending out human, ISRO wants to carry out few experiments and make the mission more viable. In order to achieve success, ISRO later this year would be sending out a fully developed prototype of Human body for the first unmanned Gaganyaan mission.
Recently, ISRO unveiled the half humanoid robot to the nation. Adapting the words from Sanskrit, the robot is named Vyomitra which means space-friendly. Built like a female body, the robot will assist the scientists on the ground through her visit to space in the Gaganyaan Spacecraft.
This robot will be able to communicate with the team on earth and handle the functions inside the spacecraft. It will also be able to communicate with other astronauts and fulfil the querries while carrying out the experiments.
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh shared a clip on his official social media handle where we can see Vyomitra communicating with the visitors.
