The New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has been ruled out of One Day International series against Bangladesh. The Blackcaps captain has been suffering from an elbow injury which has not improved over time.
Kane had a mild tear in his left elbow tendon during the summers which led to irritation and now needs a targeted intervention. Giving the details about Kane’s injury, NZC Medical Manager Dayle Shackel also stated: “He obviously has a high volume of training and playing across the three formats, which has inhibited his ability to recover. We believe he now needs a period of rest and rehabilitation to get the injury right.” and hoped that the cricketer would start rehabilitation by next week after the resting period.
Meanwhile, the first ODI against Bangladesh will be held on 20 March at the University of Otago Oval in Dunedin, New Zealand.
