Winning the Test series against West Indies by 2-0, New Zealand has maintained its ICC Test rankings by securing the second spot on the table. Defeating the Caribbean team by 12 runs at Wellington, the Black Caps also extended their unbeaten home run to 15 Tests.
Tom Latham, who became the captain for New Zealand as Kane Williamson is on paternity leave, is very happy with the performance of the boys. Henry Nicholls smashed 174 runs and took his team one step closer to the series win.
Fast medium bowler, Kyle Jamieson took a five wicket haul in the first innings and two in the second to be the ‘Man of the Series’. Pacer Tim Southee also took seven wickets in the Test series to help thrash West Indies.
