Roksolana Chubenko, popularly known as Roxy, shot to fame when she was recently asked by Jacqueline Fernandez to train her in pole dancing for her movie A Gentleman, believes that there is no pole dancing culture in India, while it is already a big art and fitness form in the world. The leggy model-turned-actress prepped for three months with Roxy and became the talk of the industry with her on- point pole-dance moves from the song ‘Chandralekha’. Once again she got to flaunt her moves and her rhythm with the pole in her recent blockbuster film Race 3, with Salman Khan, in a peppy song Heeriye.
The actress is quite a pro in the task and has been garnering praises from fans and friends alike for the skill. Roksolana shares, ‘Since the time Jacqueline took up pole dancing, people have started resonating with the dance form as a regular fitness regime. She has inadvertently popularised pole dancing. When I look back, it makes me realize that Jackie has come a long way, as today she performs moves which people with years of training might find difficult to perform. All that twirling on a pole requires a lot of core strength and her dedication and commitment to learning is something I truly adore. Even on days when she has been bruised, she wouldn’t want to miss a single class.’
