‘Stars Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ had its world premiere in Los Angeles, a great night with an emotional journey attached to it.
‘Rise of Skywalkers’ is the final instalment and part of the ‘Star Wars’ trilogy along with ‘Force Awakens’ and ‘Last Jedi’. To celebrate the entire process, all the actors from each movie were present at the premiere and each of them were getting teary by the end.
Walking down the red carpet were Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Jonnas Suotamo, Greg Grunberg and Harrisson Ford, returning and reprised in their roles. Of course, director JJ Abrams was too happy!
And ‘Stars Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ is scheduled to be released on 20 December.
On the other hand, the trailer of Tom Cruise’s long awaited sequel titled, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is out!
The trailer shows Cruise as Maverick, an ordered teacher who will get back into action to train a younger batch of pilots and teach them the difference between life and death. Basically, Tom Cruise risks his life once again!
In the trailer, you will see jaw dropping moments of airborne action with fighter jets. The students are mostly inside the cockpit, just like the first film, highlighting the realism of the stunts. It also has visual throwbacks to the original films, including a volleyball sequence and banter between the pilots.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Helms and Val Kilmer in pivotal roles. The movie is slated to hit the silver screens on 26 June 2020.
