The Drone Award Photo Contest is a new project of the Siena Art Photo Travel Association that invited aerial photograph submissions from both amateur and professional photographers in April 2018. The participants could submit their photographs to sport, abstract, urban, nature, people and wildlife categories. The organisers received over 4,400 applications from talented drone photographers from 101 different countries. This is the first time an international competition was held in this genre of photography.
Now the Siena International Photography Awards have announced the winners. Florian Ledoux, a photographer from France was awarded the ‘Drone Awards Photographer of the Year: 2018.
