Finally!
Indian men’s cricket team is all set to head to Australia for a long tour, comprising four Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. The 32 member squad has been released as well!
A shock to all is that India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma has not been picked in any of the squads as he’s currently battling with a hamstring injury. In the meantime, KL Rahul has been having a dream run in the IPL and with this, he has been handed with leadership responsibility for the first time in his international career, named as the vice-captain for the ODI and T20 squads.
RCB fast bowling duo, Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj have won a place in the Test squad after their impressive performances in the IPL. KKR’s spinner, Varun Chakravarthy, who is the first bowler to earn a 5 wicket haul in IPL 2020, has been picked in the T20 squad, earning his maiden spot in the Indian team.
The BCCI also announced four additional fast bowlers, namely Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kartik Tyagi, Ishan Porel and T. Natarajan, who’ll also be travelling to Australia with the Indian contingent headed by Virat Kohli. With the date of the tour yet to be announced, have a look at the teams for all the three formats of the game:
