Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In case the stars agree to the invitation, Hrithik and Alia will have voting rights for the awards, scheduled to be held on 25 April 2021.
Among 819 invites, documentary filmmakers Nishtha Jain and Amit Madheshiya, designer Neeta Lulla, casting director Nandini Shrikent, visual effects supervisors Vishal Anand and Sandeep Kamal have also been invited to this prestigious night.
Along with them, the other global stars included in the new 2020 member list are Ana De Armas, Brian Tyree Henry, Florence Pugh, Lakeith Stanfield, Beanie Feldstein, Jang Hye-Jin, Jo Yeo-Jeong, Park So-Dam and Constance Wu.
Embracing extraordinary talent that reflects the rich variety of the global film community, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has welcomed distinguished fellow travelers. This year, they have 75 Oscar nominees, including 15 winners and five recipients of Scientific and Technical Awards.
