The pandemic has upended just about every part of the world and with nowhere to go and very little time to spend outside, many of us have spent more time in our pajamas. During a time where we would want to go on a holiday, meet friends and family, etc, to make up for a dark year, women are now prioritizing comfort over style by indulging in neutral colors and comfortable fabrics, instead of buying trendy clothes for basic apparel.
At Summer Somewhere, clothes are designed to bring alive the holiday spirit! Versatility and timeless-ness are central to every design drop. From there, we build on it with minimal, simplistic, and feminine details. The silhouettes come first, followed by the color palette and prints. The prints and colours are inspired by my travels. I find design inspirations in unlikely nooks and corners. I’m also the kind of person who takes a lot of pictures of inspiring details — this could be some coffee art or the mosaic tiles in an old palace or curios in a flea market. I’m always making mood boards, which sets the direction for every collection.
Capturing the warmth of the sun’s rays and the coolness of the sea breeze, these carefully crafted pieces are handmade in Mumbai, using locally sourced fabrics from ethical vendors to support a conscious lifestyle with a focus on quality and longevity. You can wear them to the beach, a garden brunch, a city walk, or a cycle tour, etc. Beaming of hopeful days in the sun (after weeks of staying in), Summer Somewhere is the answer to a stylish wardrobe.
