Happy Birthday, Rohit Sharma!
Started a career a decade back, he is one of Indian cricket’s modern day greats who leads the IPL team of Mumbai Indians and the Vice Captain of the national team. Called as the ‘hitman’ of the team, Rohit is celebrating this year’s birthday at home, with wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira, amid the global pandemic.
A record breaking cricketer, Rohit Sharma opens for the team and is known as the king of pull shots. Starting out with a shaky cricketing career, the right handed batsman is one of India’s most reliable batsmen, especially in ODI and T20I.
Holding the second position in ICC Ranking, Rohit Sharma holds the world record for the highest individual score by a batsman playing in an ODI match, having scored 264 against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on 13 November 2014. Also, he is the only player to have scored three double centuries in this form of international cricket.
Take a look at the cricketers who sent their good wishes to Rohit Sharma who turned 33:
