The hard-hitting movie ‘Thappad’ starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead has already created a buzz because of its title and now the filmmakers have dropped the trailer. And we definitely are dumbfounded by the sudden dawn of reality.
So what exactly is the movie about?
The trailer shows a happy couple who are living their life at peace but one night their life changes when the husband (Pavail Gulati) raises his hand on his wife Amu, played by Taapsee. From pointing out the mindsets of society to giving a glimpse of a strong-headed woman whose words “Just a slap, But Nahi Maar Sakta” echoing throughout the video clip, ‘Thappad’ movie is a take on a woman’s right in a fresh manner.
Be prepared to see how respect plays a role in every life and under no circumstances a man can raise his hands even in the name of love (the opposite you must have seen in ‘Kabir Singh’).
While the entire family and friends are quoting to Taapsee about compromise and relationship, the boss lady continues her fight for what was supposed to be fixed long ago in society.
The Anubhav Sushila Sinha directorial movie brings us a story that often goes ignored and focuses on how even a single violent action is wrong for a woman and under no circumstances a woman should comply or adjust or move on in her life happily with the same person.

Recently, the trailer of Telugu movie ‘Jaanu’ was dropped and the filmmakers are bringing a love story on the screen. With Samantha Akkineni and Sharwanand sharing the screen space as love birds, the movie tells the story in both school days and present day. The trailer keeps fluctuating between past and present where Samantha and Sharwanand are shown to like each other during the school days and while the actress has moved on, Sharwanand is still stuck in the very same feelings.
With a soul-soothing background score, the C Prem Kumar directorial will hit the theatre on 7 February 2020.
