1. Dil Chahata Hai (2001)

For all the 90s kids out there, this one is the one too close to their heart, soul, and ummm we don’t know… everything! Many of us made plans with our squad for a Goa trip just like the three best friends in the film, starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna. Few of us have even replicated the same pose from the iconic moment of the Chapora Fort. A favourite among movie lovers, touching the millennial life by focusing on the highs and lows in friendships.

2. Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013)

One of the most loved movies ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, has created so many wanna-be- travel enthusiasts, all thanks to Ranbir Kapoor. And Deepika Padukone’s sizzling chemistry with him, along with Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin’s humour, gives us major squad goals too. From the trekking trip in the snow-covered mountains of Himachal Pradesh to the big fat Indian wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan, we all crave for something like this in our life too!

3. Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara (2011)

This is the next movie after ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, starring Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol, which makes one want to have a fun-filled bachelor trip or Spain trip. The movie shows some crazy activities offered by this European country, which can definitely get any one’s adrenaline pumped up while watching the actors do skydiving, San Fermin Pamplona (running from the bulls) and attending Tomatino. The songs in the movie is just an extra add-on to this amazingly directed Zoya Akhtar movie and sure makes us want to take the world and paint it red!

It’s been 8 years since we made this film. It’s the one movie that had people come up to me and say, “I saw this and I quit my job” or, “I saw this and made peace with an old friend,” to “I took a break from work” and even, “I got a divorce!” It inspired people to follow their dreams, to take action, to accept who and where they are. 4. Queen (2013)

A movie in its kind, giving honeymoon a whole different meaning. Featuring Kangana Ranaut, the film is shot in European locations like Amsterdam and Paris. Watching it will make you want to pack your bags, go on a solo trip, make impromptu plans with strangers, do the most random things and live your life to the fullest. Damn, need a vacay right now!

5. Highway (2014)

Discover the hidden Indian beauty through this Alia Bhatt starrer. You’ll be awestruck by what India has to offer to the tourists. Not an easy ride but it’s worth it with a unique vision and perspective to show India along the story line. The song ‘Maahi Ve’ is shot around ten states, giving you a glimpse of Incredible India. Tighten your seatbelt, India is ready to surprise you once again!
