The Oscar nominated actor of ‘Juno’, formerly known as Ellen Page has come out as transgender to the world, introducing himself as Elliot Page. On Instagram, he shared a long statement to thank the Trans community for inspiring and helping him on his journey to finally love who he was but he’s also scared of the backlash.
Recently starred in Netflix superhero series ‘The Umbrella Academy’, Elliot Page stated that he feels lucky to be writing this and arriving at this place in his life. The Canadian actor also made a political appeal in his statement on the gram, spoke about the violence that the Trans community goes through and the government doesn’t do anything in their favor.
In the end, Elliot Page added that he loves being trans and queer, fully embracing himself. Hoping to do his best to make the world a better place, the actor sent his love to the trans people who are dealing with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day.
