Eid-al-Adha or Bakra-Eid is celebrated worldwide every year on the 10 or 12 on the Dhu-al Hijjah month of the Islamic calendar and it lasts for three days. The auspicious festival is celebrated in the honour of the sacrifice done by Ibrahim who was ready to give up his son on God’s command. But God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead and saved his son from death.
People celebrate every festival by sending happy wishes to each other and among all, Bollywood stars are the ones who are the first well-wishers. Today as well, they haven’t stepped back to celebrate the festival. Some celebrities including Bollywood stars and Sport personalities shared the poster of the festival while some tweeted the wish for their fans on their social handles.
The Prime Minister is on the top list to wish his fans. He tweets, “My best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. I hope it furthers the spirit of peace and happiness in our society. Eid Mubarak!” while Rahul Gandhi sends his wishes saying, “Eid Mubarak to all of you.” Take a look:
