Couture Runway Week started 21 December and ended on the 22 December at Crowne Plaza, Okhla, New Delhi – right in the heart of New Delhi. And like every season, the Global Fashion Federation (GFF) launched a batch of new-gen Designers and gave them a platform to showcase their talent at the Couture Runway Week (CRW). The GFF has showcased the third set of new-gen designers, who successfully displayed their creations at Winter/Festive 2019 edition. The names are Virago by Kaninika, Avi Roy, Iteer by Muskan, Nitu Prajapati, Divya Agarwal aspiring designers from ICF, who presented special kids, cancer survivors and patients. This shows how careful new-gen designers are and they are aspiring designers from IIFT, focused on Indian culture.
Under the next-gen program, the names of budding designers showcased their work are Akarshan Mani, Pushpanjali, Kari by Rohit, Coco by Bawa Surjeet, Salala by Mansi.
This season of Couture Runway Week is special for young designers.
Cancer Awareness is a big social cause associated, which is conceptualised to take Indian fashion to the world but with a cause along with. A new concept of honouring the title holders pride of India will also be part of the Runway Week. The other designers who are showcasing their collection this season are Sidhhartha Bansal, Pallavi Singh, Ajjay Mehraa, Vaatsaalyaa and the first time in the history of fashion weeks the grand finale was done by makeover artist in collaboration with a study by Janak and Multani jewellers.
