Brazilian footballer, Willian Borges da Silva has announced his exit from London based club, Chelsea.
On Instagram, the forward player penned down an emotional letter for the club’s fans to confirm his departure from Chelsea after seven beautiful years. Willian’s contract with the Blues has come to an end this summer and the club’s management failed to come to a conclusion over a new deal.
Under Chelsea, Willian has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and a Europa League title. In the open letter on the gram, he expressed his gratitude at being able to play for the club. He also posted a picture of himself with the background as Chelsea’s flag, home ground, stadium screen, paparazzi and tournament trophies.
Willian reminisced the day he received an offer from Chelsea, it was one of his best decisions. From winning cups and sharing bitter-sweet moments in the club, the Brazilian footballer has learnt a lot which has definitely made him a better player and person.
Along with it, Willian thanked his supportive fans who always came out to cheer for him at Stamford Bridge. He also got a fair share of criticism which drove him to give his best shot. Calling it the time to move on, he added that he’ll miss his teammates, Chelsea’s staff and mostly, the fans. Leaving with his head high and giving his all out in a Chelsea shirt, Willian has heartfelt gratitude for everyone.
