Meet Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan as Zoe and Veer in Imitaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’.
Finally, the makers of the movie have dropped the trailer of the fresh pair and set the internet on fire. A remake of the 2009 hit movie with the same name, the 2020 ‘Love Aaj Kal’ has a different cast but with the same storyline set in 1990 and 2020.
Only the cinematography is top notch, the rest is downhill. From Kartik Aaryan spreading his boyish charm without a monologue to Sara attempting easy dialogues with complicated expressions as a career oriented woman in 2020 and Arushi as a shy 1990’s girl, the trailer fails to impress us.
More than the characters, you will like the picturesque locations. With the same songs in just a remix version, the story doesn’t offer anything new either. This film is also based on the portrayal of commitment phobia that creeps into modern relationships. In fact, we miss the 2009 Saif and Deepika-starrer ‘Love Aaj Kal’ all the more now.
We don’t know what to hope for, actually. But we hope that the film, set to release on February 14, doesn’t disappoint us!
