Superstar Rajinikanth, who was set to launch his political party in Tamil Nadu with a ‘now or never’ announcement earlier this month, has now decided to opt out of politics and not launch his own party citing health concerns.

In the weekend, Rajinikanth was admitted in the hospital with blood pressure fluctuations and has been discharged as well. Two days later, he announced that he’s quitting politics, giving priority to his frail health.
Rajinikanth has stated that with extreme sadness and pain he’s announcing this news to the world. He will serve the people without entering electoral politics, and asked fans to forgive him.
Explaining the reason for his decision, Rajinikanth feels like this is a warning given to him by God which he realized after being hospitalized. Also, his campaigns will impact his health amid the pandemic. The actor also went on to thank the office bearers who worked with him on making his political debut.
