It has been 100 days since Quique Setién has taken over as the manager of FC Barcelona, joining the club on 13 January. In such a short period of time, he has changed the morale of the team and everyone, including other clubs and fans can see this.
With Setién’s arrival to the club, FC Barcelona has tied up with Real Madrid on 40 points in the UEFA clubs table but the Spanish club is ahead thanks to the goal difference. The manager’s new style of play has increased the club’s percentage of possession in games, currently standing at 69.5%.
For the first time, any FC Barcelona manager has used a total of 21 different players. Despite the serious injuries to Luis Suarez and Dembele, Setién has included 17 players from the first team and four players from Barca B team.
Coming to the wins out of 12 games, the club has won eight, drawn one and lost three. The biggest win registered by FC Barcelona under the leadership of Setien is the 5-0 win Leganes and Eibar, with Messi scoring four in the latter. Also, this just shows the impact Setién’s arrival has made into the club.
