Princess Eugenie, the Queen’s granddaughter and the ninth-in-line to the throne, got married to Jack Brooksbank on 12 October, in the second major royal wedding of the year. Earlier this year, Prince Harry married TV actress Meghan Markle, in the same venue.
Eugenie, 28, younger daughter of the Queen’s third child Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, tied the knot with Mr Brooksbank, a 32-year-old drinks executive, at Windsor Castle this morning.
The ceremony took place at 11am IST at the castle’s 15th Century St George’s Chapel with the Dean of Windsor David Conner officiating and we are already drooling over the pictures.
Here’s everything we know so far about the schedule of the royal wedding:
# Guests arrived at St. George’s Chapel and took their places on the grounds of Windsor Castle, which is being opened up to members of the public. As per the royal press release, over 100,000 people applied to attend Princess Eugenie’s wedding, and ‘invitations have now gone out’ to the 1,200 people who will help celebrate the royal wedding from outside the venue. Like seriously? Eugenie has also invited children from two of the schools she attended—St. George’s School and Coworth Flexlands School.
Several charities important to the couple were on-site, including representatives from the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, the Salvation Army, the Teenage Cancer Trust and the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women.
As for the official guest list, it’s thought that a number of high-profile celebrities will attend the royal wedding, alongside members of the royal family such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Kate Middleton goes bold in Fuchsia Alexander McQueen outfit whereas Meghan pulled off a Navy Givenchy dress. Style alert!

# Princess Eugenie’s Maid of Honor was her big-sister, Princess Beatrice. The royal bride selected Princess Charlotte, 3, to be a bridesmaid and Prince George, 5, to be a page boy for her nuptials to Brooksbank.
# Once the service is finished, Princess Eugenie and her new husband will set off on a short carriage ride from the Royal Mews, out of Windsor Castle, and onto part of the High Street. After the couple’s carriage procession, Queen Elizabeth will host a Reception at Windsor Castle, which will be followed by another private reception at Windsor Park Lodge, a party being organized by Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.
The traditional service, which will see Andrea Bocelli perform, appears traditional and tranquil on paper. But Princess Eugenie’s rogue personality would suggest there may be some surprises along the way.
A big congratulation to the royal couple!
