The Women’s Tennis Association has released the 2021 provisional calendar till the end of Wimbledon in July. Post the announcement of the first seven week schedule of this season of the Women’s Tennis tour, the new schedule is for the next 20 weeks of 2021.
Following the traditional timeframe of the WTA tour, the only change can be witnessed in the March schedule where the BNP Paribas Open, Indiana Wells, will not be held during its usual time and the discussion for conducting it later in the season is still going on.
The 2021 season of WTA is kickstarting today with Abu Dhabi WTA’s Women Open Tennis and will be followed by delayed Australian Open. Moreover, further updates to this season’s Tour calendar will be announced in due course, including the second edition of the Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen.
