Vivo will be launching a new smartphone Vivo S1 for the Indian market today. The new smartphone is slightly different from the original one launched in China in March, but is similar to what was showcased in Indonesia, last month.

The new smartphone is available for pre-order through offline stores. Vivo S1’s highlights include a triple rear camera setup at the back, a 4,500mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo S1 sports a 6.39-inch Full High Definition (HD) + Super Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P65 12nm octa-core System-on-Chip (SoC). It is coupled with 4GB RAM and an inbuilt storage of 128GB.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo S1 features a 16-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. On the front, it bears a 32-megapixel selfie camera contained within the display notch. It will be available in two colours, Diamond Black and Skyline Blue.
The phone will run on Android 9 Pie Operating System (OS) with the company’s own FunTouch OS. The battery will support 18W fast charging. Other features include 4G Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB with USB On-The-Go (OTG) support.
The price in India is expected to be similar to the Indonesia pricing of IDR 3,599,000 (roughly Rs. 18,000). The official pricing should be unveiled at the launch event which is expected to start at 5 PM IST.
