US President Donald Trump recently targeted Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, stating in a tweet that he will not pay for the security of the royal couple in the country. Making the decision of no longer representing the British monarchy, Harry and Meghan have moved to the States.
Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who will formally step back from the royal duties on 31 March. For a few months, the couple stayed in Canada but before the coronavirus outbreak they shifted to Los Angeles where Meghan has spent her life prior to marriage.
Confirming the news of the couple staying in the US, Trump took to Twitter to shut down any controversy about their security in the nation before it began. Read the tweet:
I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!
