Over the past few years, the deteriorating climatic conditions associated with bad health effects have become a major concern in the country and worldwide. With this, the need to expand the green cover which in return will improve the air quality has also increased alarmingly. Emphasizing on the need to plant and save trees to control pollution, B-Town actors Jackie Shroff, Kajol along with her son Yug and mother, veteran actor Tanuja, participated in a tree plantation initiative organized at Lonavala drive by the NGO named as ‘Stamp’.
‘Stamp: A tree for tomorrow’, an initiative of Kajol’s sister Tanishaa Mukherji, also shared a post on their Instagram handle, thanking all the participants for supporting them in their cause.
All the actors were seen planting the tree while getting drenched in the rain at INS Shivaji, Lonavala. Bollywood actress Kajol took it to her social media handle to create awareness about the importance of trees by stating, “If trees have WiFi then everybody would be planting them.” She also added that if we start planting more and more trees we can actually reverse the climatic change.
It's impossible for 1.37 billion of us to share a healthy environment with a bare 21.54% of tree cover. 1 person on an average consumes oxygen produced by 7 trees in the entire life. Here's my #StampOfSupport for @stamp_ngo @tanishaamukerji #KajolPower pic.twitter.com/ssZEXe4Wfy

Later on, our own, ‘Jaggu Dada’ also took it to his Instagram sharing a picture where all the actors posed with soiled hands, captioned as, “TANU MA’s @stamp_ngo .. BLESSED TO BE AT INS SHIVAJI, Lonavala.. GO GREEN.”
Along with the post, a video of Jackie Shroff talking to people about the need to plant a tree, in his own way went viral and made the Twitteratis burst out in laughter. In the video, the actor is seen telling the people that he already has lived his life but through his initiative, he can make the earth a better place for his son Tiger and the “Chota Tiger”. Netizens soon started reacting to the hilarious video of Jackie, calling him to be “Marathi Leonardo Di Caprio.”
