In his 24 years long cricketing career with record breaking moments, Sachin Tendulkar is the first cricketer in history to score 15,000 runs in ODI. He went past this mark by scoring a half century against South Africa in their home world.
A match that is close to Sachin’s heart, he played a few vintage shots that are rarely in his game. Interestingly, Tendulkar breached the mark courtesy of an overthrow in the 18 over of the Indian chase, which was bowled by South Africa’s Andre Nel. Chasing the target, the Indian opener put up a stand to guide the team on the winning path.
Although, Sachin Tendulkar has retired from the international game, he is still the highest run scorer of all time. He is proudly the only batsman to score more than 30,000 international runs and holds a world breaking record of 100 centuries across all formats.
