Movie and television producer Ekta Kapoor is now a mommy to a baby boy. According to reports, she welcomed her first child via surrogacy. The report states that the child was born on January 27 and is healthy. The Kapoor family is all set to bring the little munchkin home soon.
Ekta has been very close to Tusshar’s son Laksshya, who was also born via surrogacy in 2016. She is often snapped playing the picture-perfect bua to Laksshya, and the years of babysitting her nephew might have enthused the 43-year-old to have a baby of her own.
Tusshar and Ekta, the children of Bollywood actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, never married.
Tusshar became a single father, choosing for and even motivated Karan Johar to go for the same. Now his sister Ekta has opted for the process, joining the team of single mothers in Bollywood.
About a year ago, Ekta had told in a discussion, ‘My life has changed. If there’s anything that’s most important in my life [now], then that’s Laksshya. Every day, he does something new and we all look forward to that. I miss him every time I’m travelling on work. You know, the Lakkshya (target) of my life now is to look after Laksshya.’
Tusshar had also revealed earlier why he decided to be a single parent. In a talk he had said, ‘I was thinking about it for some time before I finally had the baby because I was running out of time. I am not married yet. I may or may not in the future. I felt the time was running out fast and I couldn’t wait to have a family, have a child. That’s something I won’t be able to do as I grow older. I can always get married. That’s why I decided to become a single parent.’
