Last night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation amid the novel coronavirus pandemic about lockdown 4.0, and announced Rs 20 lakh crore economic package and his idea of a self-reliant India.
Modi stated that this global situation has taught the nation that self-reliant India is the only road out.
Calling it ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, Modi emphasized on the fact that India needs to become self-sufficient. This will be based on five pillars which includes economy, infrastructure, technology driven system, vibrant demography and demand.
Modi also announced a 20 lakh crore rupees relief package, amounting to 10% of India’s GDP that’ll help all classes. Releasing this relief package by the end of 2020, it will emphasize on the L-factors of land, labour, liquidity and laws.
Modi also addressed the importance of local products and how to become vocal about them by promoting it as well. Apart from that, the world leader told that the fourth phase of lockdown will be completely redesigned with new rules and all the details of the same will be announced before 18 May.

Also, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman will hold a press conference at 4:00 pm today in New Delhi to give more details about the 20 lakh crore relief package.
