Indian Cinema lost another stellar artist.
SP Balasubrahmanyam who is known to wear several hats in his life ranging from being a playback singer to a voice over artist, bid adieu to the world today.
The legendary singer also known as ‘Padum Nila’ among his fans, which means Singing Moon, has garnered six National Awards for Best Male playback singer while working in four major cinema industries. The 74-year-old singer was earlier tested positive of COVID and was admitted to MGM Healthcare,Chennai. Though he was tested negative on 4 September, his health condition continued to deteriorate and was put on ventilators.
On receiving the sad news of his passing away, condolences poured on social media platforms and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar paid her tribute to the man by expressing her grief by reminiscing the days she worked with the great artist.

The Oscar winner AR Rahman felt devastated by the sudden demise of Balasubrahmanyam and shared a small video on his verified social media handle, calling the National awardee “The Voice of Victory,Love,Devotion and Joy!”
