After unveiling the Galaxy Note 10 series globally early this month, Samsung is now pushing its launch in the Indian market. The new smartphones, Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10 Plus, were announced today. They will be available in stores from 23 August onwards, online and offline, to those who have pre booked.

The Galaxy Note10 will be available in aura glow, aura red and aura black colour variants at Rs 69,999. While, Galaxy Note10 Plus will be in aura glow, aura white and aura black, starting at Rs 79,999. Both the phones run on Android 9.0 Pie with the company’s One UI (user interface).

The dual-SIM (Nano) Galaxy Note 10 features a 6.3-inch full-HD Infinity-O Display, powered by octa-core Exynos 9825. It will have an internal storage of 256 GB with 8 GB of RAM. While, the Note10 Plus features a 6.8-inch QHD Infinity-O Display and with a microSD card up to 1TB. It will have 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.

This series has Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display which gives a better colour rendition, improved contrast and higher brightness with High Dynamic Range (HDR). This is the only panel capable of rendering content with dynamic tone meta information mapped with each frame.
These two smartphones have new capabilities on the productivity front, comes with a digital stylus called SPen. This makes taking down notes on the phone easy and by using the Samsung Notes app, you can convert handwritten notes into digital text and export it in different formats, including Microsoft Word.

The Galaxy Note10-series has DeX’s capabilities, making it easier to shuffle between phone and PC or Mac. With a compatible USB connection, one can drag and drop files between devices, along with using DeX-compatible mobile apps with a mouse and a keyboard.

Thanks to Samsung’s partnership with Microsoft, these devices have a ‘Link to Windows’ feature integrated directly into the quick panel. This allows users to see notifications, send and receive messages and review recent photos on a Windows 10 computer.
For the camera, they have a triple rear camera setup, with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with wide-angle lens, variable aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS). It also features a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens, along with it is a 12-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens and OIS. On the front, it has a ten megapixel autofocus shooter with an 80-degree field of view which supports night mode for low-light photography.
Both smartphones support live focus in videos, allowing users to record videos with DSLR-like blur effect in the background. They have ‘Zoom-In’ mics to amplify the audio of the object in frame by limiting the background noise.

An artificial intelligence-based ‘Game Booster’ mode is present which optimises the phone’s performance and power consumption depending on the game requirements. They support PlayGalaxy Link P2P streaming service, allowing users to continue playing PC games on their phones.

Also, the Galaxy Note series supports fast charging, wired and wireless. They come bundled with 25W fast charger and the Plus model is compatible with 45W fast charger as well. The Galaxy Note 10 runs on a 3,500mAh battery and Note10 Plus features a larger 4,300mAh battery.

In connectivity options, it includes 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It also has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, RBG light sensor and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor on board.
