Pravaas is born from the vision of redefining Indian exploration, curating experiences that are modern, meaningful and true to the essence of our incredible land. Taking place on 15, 16 & 17 March, 2024, Pravaas reimagines Mussoorie’s hidden and breathtaking locations into modern-day music gatherings, pop-up restaurants, rejuvenation retreats, aerial tours, cultural immersions, and more.
This edition of Pravaas takeover, supported by Audi, Simba, Evocus, and Uttarakhand tourism, will feature headliners such as Italian DJ & producer David August, Japanese house music maestro, Soichi Terada and legendary German DJ & producer, Roman Flügel alongside showcases by music collectives shaping India’s future sounds.
The culinary experience will feature an exclusive dining experience by Chef Prateek Sadhu’s iconic Himalayan restaurant NAAR.
These mindfully-crafted local experiences aim to inspire through refreshing discoveries in order to create timeless memories and take its participants on a journey of collective discovery.
The Experiences:
I. The Surveyor’s Dance
March 15 & 16th | Sir George Everest Hill
A unique sonic escapade consisting of music performances, and local and contemporary marketplaces offering food, beverages and merchandise. Headlined by David August, Soichi Terada and Roman Flügel alongside Indian acts such as Sickflip, Mode music showcase, All Star Sauce and more.
II. Rhythms of Sainji
March 16 and 17th | Sainji Village
A Himalayan culinary experience curated by Chef Prateek Sadhu of NAAR. This pop-up will take place in the scenic village of Sainji, located an hour away from Mussoorie, where corn is a way of life. This experience is complemented by exploring the village’s rural lifestyle through village walks, traditional cooking demonstrations, beekeeping and more.
III. Garhwali Table
March 16 | Near Wishing Well, Mussoorie
An authentic Garhwali feast in a hidden Deodar forest. Located just 15 minutes away from George Everest hill is a secret Deodar forest that is being reimagined by Pravaas in collaboration with Hapur Walon ki Dukaan. The result will be the most authentic Raja Rani ki Garhwali Thali amid nature and supplemented by traditional dance performances.
IV. Mossy Retreat
A rejuvenating breakfast at a private waterfall. A tranquil natural attraction, surrounded by forests and singing birds, Mossy Falls is a less popular waterfall in Mussoorie. This experience will be accompanied by sound healing and personalized breakfast baskets by the Landour Bakehouse.
V. Victorian Listening Room
March 15, 16 & 17 | Claridges Nabha Residence
Claridges Nabha’s Victorian Bar will transform itself into an audio listening room and speakeasy. Expect jazz on vinyl, handcrafted cocktails and spark conversations with like-minded people.
VI. Sky Safari:
March 15, 16 & 17|Mussoorie-Dehradun airport| Joy rides in Mussoorie
An aerial view of the Garhwali ranges like never before. This takeover also offers private chopper facilities from airports as well as joy rides that can be availed at an additional cost.
