Cricket’s fans are said to come from a diverse background and varied ages. The latter was seen to be true when an octogenarian became the highlight of the India vs Bangladesh match along with Rohit Sharma’s, extraordinary performance, yesterday.
87-year-old Charulatha Patel, was captured cheering and celebrating all the boundaries and wickets of team India. She was spotted with a Tricolour scarf, national flag in hand, and blowing a bright yellow coloured vuvuzela celebrating India’s win. When asked, she proudly replied, “I love this Indian team and all the players are like my kids.”

After the match, team India Captain Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, personally thanked the lady for showing her love to the Indian team.
