Akshay Kumar never ceases to make news. Whether it is for his socially relevant films, his unique dress sense or even his wife and her penchant for saying things as they are! Keeping up with his ever-growing presence in public, superstar Akshay Kumar recently unveiled the nationwide movement of New India Conclave 2018 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.
The conclave is the biggest ever non-government rural outreach programme organised in association with the NGOs, Y4D Foundation, NEEDS NGO, Avanee Foundation and the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme. The conclave is all set to take place in the capital in the first week of July. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed to be a part of the event along with Chief Ministers of various states of India.
Meanwhile, the evening saw the launch of the logo and the website of the conclave in the presence of several achievers. After all, the conclave is supposed to provide a platform to the achievers, thinkers and policy makers who have dedicated themselves to rural transformation.
Akshay Kumar, who is well known for his stellar performances in movies like Toilet-Ek Prem Katha and Pad Man with a thrust on rural reform, also took the stage to share a few words on the occasion regarding this initiative.
The brand ambassador of New India Conclave 2018, Akshay Kumar, talked about how during his travels to rural India of late, he had observed so many heroes silently driving rural transformation. “I have played them in my movies,” he said humbly. He was sure the New India Conclave 2018 would play an important role in recognising these achievers and their innovations. Akshay Kumar further said that being a solution-oriented person, he was excited to support the initiative. What next for the super hero, we wonder!
