The US Open kickstarted from 31 August and Sumit Nagal, the Indian Tennis star who got express entry into the tournament, is storming towards success.
The 23-year-old Tennis player last year won hearts by winning a set against the legendary Tennis player Roger Federer and became the first Indian to do so.
Now, the Tennis star has moved up into the second round of the Grand Slam post celebrating his victory against Bradley Klahn of America and would be facing Dominic Thiem of Austria in the ongoing US Open.
Achieving the milestone, Nagal also became the first player to win a main draw match in the Grand Slam after a gap of seven years. Before Sumit, Somdev Dewarman in the year 2013 had reached the second rounds of Australia, French and US Open.
Sumit Nagal is the first Indian man to win a match at the #USOpen in 7 years.
