F1 legend Michael Schumacher’s son, Mick Schumacher is set to make his F1 debut by racing for Haas in the circuit from the next season.
Currently, Mick Schumacher is leading the Formula 2 title race by 14 points with one round remaining. Right now he’s a Ferrari junior but for F1, he’ll link up with fellow F2 racer Nikita Mazepin. The duo will replace Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen.
With the Schumacher name making a racing return to Formula 1 in 2021, the US owned team, Haas announced the 21-year old racing driver signing a multi-year deal with them. Excited to have Mick on board and giving him a sweet welcome into their driver’s lineup, Haas F1 team posted a video on Instagram. Take a look:
At Formula 2 championships, Mick Schumacher has won races, collected podiums and excelled against exceptional talent in 2020. His performances on the racing track got him the opportunity to compete in Formula 1. Set to make his F1 debut, he will begin his preparations with an FP1 session with the Haas team at the season finale in Abu Dhabi, followed by some tuning in the end-of-season test at the same track.
