Two outstanding cricketers, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga and England’s Joe Root pull off two different cricketing tournament over different reasons.
Sri Lanka’s veteran bowler, Lasith Malinga has withdrawn from the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League due to personal reasons and will fly back home to be with family. Due to this, his team Mumbai Indians as signed Australian speedster James Pattinson as a replacement, will be the right fit for them with his pace attack options.

On the other hand, England’s Test captain Joe Root has been omitted from the T20I squad in the three match series against Australia. Though he’s left out of one format of the game, he’ll join the team for three ODI matches.
Right now, Joe Root is one of the best batsman in the world but not the country’s best when it comes to T20 cricket. One is hoping to see his return as an accomplished batsman by making his way into the squad for next year’s T20 World Cup in India.
🗣️ "I think we've all seen that Joe's an exceptionally adaptable and outstanding batsman, and he could easily come back into the reckoning."
England selector Ed Smith has no doubts Joe Root could make a return to the T20I side in the future 👇 https://t.co/hEW0y2rPaE
