What a brilliant performance by team India!
In the second Test against England, the Indian team did not leave any gap for their opponents to make a comeback in the game. Right from winning the toss to the last ball of the match, the Indian squad kept pressure and won the game by 317 runs.
Making the Test series as 1-1, Indian registered a historic win in the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. In the first innings, Rohit Sharma’s 160 and Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane’s 67 helped the team put up a score of 329 on the board which was untouched by England. Getting all-out in 134 runs, Ravichandran Ashwin picked a five wicket haul.
When the second innings started, India had a lead of 195 runs, with the help of a century by spinner Ashwin and fifty by skipper Virat Kohli, the men in blue took a lead of 400 odd runs. Falling under pressure, England was once again all-out in 164 by a spell-bound performance with the ball from debutant bowler Axar Patel who took five wickets.
The ‘man of the match’ was truly deserved by Ravichandran Ashwin,who was incredible with the bat and bowl, 106 runs with eight wickets in the second Test. Kudos to him!

India will now take on England in two more Test matches that will be played at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, starting 24 February.
