Playing in Sydney, India earned a draw which has made the Test series 1-1. Credits for this goes to memorable the fourth innings batting performance by the batting unit of the Indian team. The most crucial partnership was of Hanuman Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin who stood on the pitch till the last ball, facing 200 deliveries.
Happy with the team’s performance, Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane applauded Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwara Pujara for their contribution in the last inning of the third Test match. Chasing down a total of 409, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and debutant Navdeep Saini also did a good job with the ball.
As soon as the second Test was drawn between India and Australia, former cricketing legends sent in their good wishes for the team on Twitter. Have a look:
What a remarkable performance by Team India. Once again great show of resilience under grave provocation, spate of injuries and several key players missing. Bravo! #AUSvsIND
