The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, is all set with his debut in the digital space with series tentatively called The End on Amazon Prime. The daredevil did not leave any stone unturned to ensure that the announcement was as grand as it gets.
What did he do you ask? Well, he literally put himself on fire while announcing his web series debut in an event held in Mumbai. Known for performing his own stunts, the star gives us adrenaline-pumping action scenes, and his film choices have always been the best. Akshay said at the event that such jaw-dropping stunts came naturally to him. ‘Action is within me, I call myself a stuntman first and then an actor.’
Literally, all fired up for my association with @PrimeVideoIN’s THE END (working title). Trust me, this is only the beginning 😉@JSalke @vikramix @Abundantia_Ent pic.twitter.com/BL2PS4iJPQ

A source reportedly said, ‘Akshay was told by many people that he should not light himself on fire, as it was highly dangerous. But he wouldn’t listen to anyone, as we all know how much he loves doing his own action sequences in films too. Of course, there was a team of experts present on hand, and all the requisite safety precautions and permissions were taken. It was a sight to behold!’ clearly the man had a safety team handy.

The web-series promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with a lot of action and intrigue, Akshay said in a statement, ‘The digital world excited me and I am delighted to make my streaming debut with this show. If I were to make a small confession here, it was my son Aarav who suggested that I make my digital debut as that’s what the youth is hooked onto. On this medium, I want to create something extraordinary and connect with them.’
One of the first A-lister actors to work on a web series as a lead, Akshay says that it was his son Aarav who prompted him to work in a series and Akki signed up happily because millennials these days love their web series. But guess who was totally unhappy with this stunt? Well who else than Ms. Funnybones herself, check out how Akshay’s wife, Twinkle Khanna, hilariously reacted.
Crap! This is how I find out that you decided to set yourself on fire ! Come home and I am going to kill you-in case you do survive this! #GodHelpMe https://t.co/K7a7IbdvRN
