Some of the most common reasons of bad breath are dental cavities, a coated tongue due to inflammation, gum disease, lack of saliva in the mouth or lifestyle choices such as smoking and alcohol.

But, boom!

You can solve this by trying these home remedies that have proven effective in getting rid of bad breath.

Take a look:

A natural way to freshen your breath instantly is to use salt water to rinse your mouth. Simply add some salt to a glass of warm water and mix it well, swish the solution around your mouth and teeth for 30 seconds and repeat. Bad odour gone!

2. Make your own alcohol-free mouthwash

An easy recipe for making your own mouthwash with ingredients you may already have in your kitchen.

To do this take one cup of warm water and add half a teaspoon of cinnamon, two lime’s juice, one and a half teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of baking soda. Mix it well and put in a container, use it for 30 seconds and say goodbye to bad breath!

3. Clove

Put a few pieces of cloves in your mouth and chew them. The antibacterial properties in the cloves will freshen your mouth. Making clove tea will also give you a good mouthwash. Also, take a teaspoon of cloves and boil it in a cup of warm water and you can use this mouthwash twice a day.

4. Cinnamon

Boil a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in warm water, add bay leaves and cardamom seeds. After straining the solution, use it as a mouthwash to rinse twice a day.

5. Parsley

Chew on a parsley sprig to freshen your mouth. If preferred, you can dip it in vinegar before chewing it thoroughly.
