New Zealand swept the Test series against India without much effort, flying with a lead of 2-0!
In the second Test match played at Christchurch, India lost to New Zealand by seven wickets. With a spectacular performance and lead, the Black Caps have clinched the series on their home ground.
Inside three days of the second Test match, the Indian team disappointed fans by not giving their best shot in any of the departments, be it bowling or batting. With low scores and too many unresolved errors, there was literally no contribution from the top players. The story of team India’s horror loss!
On the third day of the second Test match, India started the day at 90 for six and were all out for 124. Later on, New Zealand chased down the required 132 that included India’s seven runs lead too, to win the game for the loss of three wickets and wrap up the series with ease.
Notably, this is the first time Virat Kohli has been on the receiving end of a Test series whitewash as captain. Also, in eight years, this is the first time Men in Blue have suffered such a Test series defeat. Indeed a disappointing tour for India!
