And Shivam Dube finishes off the game in style by hitting a big six in Tim Southee’s over!
India has tightened their grip in the five match T20i series with a 2-0 against New Zealand. Last night, the Men In Blue registered a seven wicket win against the Black Caps on their home ground, Eden Park in Auckland. Being a low scoring match, India chased the target of 132 runs in 17.3 overs.
Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami restricted the opponents by taking early wickets and putting pressure. From India’s end, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer made a match winning partnership of 86 runs. The top class knock of unbeaten 57 from KL Rahul and Iyer’s momentum towards the end, took the game away from New Zealand.
Now, the third T20 match will be played on 29 January!
