One of the most successful Formula One drivers Lewis Hamilton will have to take a pause for this season.
The British driver who earlier this year surpassed Michael Schumacher’s 91 record victories and stands at 95 Grand Prix wins, won’t be participating in the upcoming Sakhir Grand Prix.
Hamilton, on Monday woke up with mild Coronavirus symptoms, and has been tested positive for COVID-19. He is currently in isolation, in accordance with Covid-19 protocols and public health guidelines in Bahrain.
Mercedes has also shared a post on their social media handle, stating: “Apart from mild symptoms, he is otherwise fit and well” and will be announcing the replacement in due course.
