The glamorous world of fashion is already looking ahead to the Spring/Summer season after the debut of latest collections at New York’s most recent spring/summer fashion week 2019. If you must have followed the runways closely then you already know that the fashion week cemented yellow as the 2019 colour trend.
With the ace designers and their spring’s exuberant palette, we noticed that colours like marigold yellow appeared in Brandon Maxwell’s collection, Carolina Herrera’s collection, and Oscar de la Renta’s collection while even the sidewalks outside the runways were draped in hues of Yellow.
We always look up to Spring for some of the major fashion goals from the fashion industry and this year’s colour trends were very diverse with almost the entire rainbow walking on the ramps. Especially Yellow, we saw different shades of yellow incorporated in the collections like Self-Portrait, Kate Spade New York, Lela Rose, Adeam, Brandon Maxwell, and Monse.
Looking to brighten up your grey workdays or planning to stand out in your group at an outing? Then dive right into yellow with a contrast between light and dark.
Buttermilk yellow
Buttermilk yellow is a colour that has a tropical vibe to it. Light and soothing the colour definitely stands out and screams ‘spring’. The near-neutral colour is all you want for the spring and summer.
Marigold
Marigold is deep yellow, matching the colour of egg yolk, it gives more of tropical vibe and brightens up the entire look. Yellow in all its tonal iterations was huge for the season, and topping them all was this deep tone called marigold yellow.
Golden Yellow
Golden yellow is a very cheerful colour as well as classic. Show-goers had already predicted that golden yellow will play a big part in spring 2019. As an accent colour or as a head-to-toe look, this rich hue is a pleasant and comforting colour for the warm weather.
Pale Yellow
Pastels are hard to quit, probably you should go for more subtle ones or try the lighter colours on the citrus spectrum. The bleached sunshine hue gives an air of soft cheer, and if you are the one who stays steer from bright colours then pale yellow is you pick.
