It was a smokey, fiery day for the Australian star cricketer Glenn Maxwell.
Don’t believe us?
We have proof!
Just ahead of his Big Bash League match against Hobart Hurricane, Melbourne Star captain Maxwell had to run to extinguish a bushfire while he was chilling in a hotel at Launceston, Australia. Glenn’s teammate, Dale Steyn without losing the moment captured the video of the player’s rescue feat and shared it on his official social media handle.
Dale’s story was later picked up by the KFC Big Bash League’s social media account and was shared to us with the caption “Via the Instagram story of @DaleSteyn62: Glenn Maxwell to the rescue! The @StarsBBL skipper had a bizarre pre-game interruption in Launceston #BBL09”.

Later, in a small chit-chat with the Australian Skipper during the match hour, the incident was narrated by Glenn Maxwell himself, where he also jokes “The Hotel is still there”.
